Gathered by Christ to be and make Disciples

Discipleship begins with Christ calling us to Himself and continues as we learn, grow, and serve in the cause of God’s Kingdom. Reformation’s Christian Education committee engages in Christ’s mission by providing education opportunities using these marks of a disciple which the Holy Spirit actively cultivates in us.

• Be a student of Jesus Christ by studying the Bible, its traditional teachings, and the Lutheran Confession

• Imitate Christ by living what one learns

• Show obedience to Christ by allowing the power of the Holy Spirit to transform our thoughts, words, and deeds

• Live a life of prayer

• Have a close personal relationship with Christ

• Worship together as the Body of Christ and partake of the Lord’s Supper

• Share in fellowship with other Christians so that relationships are built that will encourage and support each other in our faith and discipleship journey

• Identify with the service of Christ by serving others

- Be good stewards of God’s gifts to us, ourselves, our time, and our possessions

• Share the redemptive and saving power of Jesus Christ with those who do not know Him
